GESTALTUNGS KOMPETENZEN
ECO AND LOW-TECH WORKSHOP
BRIEF: Create a system/object that brings people closer to more careful and conscious use of energy. Consider what is necessary to reduce consumption at home, to reduce the impact on the environment, to better use and rationalise the resources we have.
HOW: Materials were recoverable from old household appliances in disuse, from metal structures, from bicycle carcasses, etc. To these was added the classic use of wood, recovered from the disassembly of pallets at the end of the freight transport cycle, or other furniture and window frames. The use of high-tech instruments is not recommended.
The GUIDELINES to be referred to were three macro areas of intervention, which defined the project areas/contexts:
- DOMESTIC: systems/objects that help us at home, in the kitchen as in the bathroom, to rationalise resources and to reduce the dependence of electricity on the grid;
- OUTDOOR: systems/objects that use renewable energies, that make the waste cycle ecological, that help us to conserve nature;
- MOBILITY: projects which can initiate a revolution in the field of mobility, which innovates and reduce the impact of existing means of transport.

OUTCOME:
Garden Irrigator: It is designed as a folding seat. Inside there is a manual sprinkler. It works by activating a washing machine pump connected to the bicycle pedals. at each pedal, the water is sucked from a tank and distributed through a watering can.
Street Cart: The cart has been designed as a means to spread the street food typical of Puglia 'frisa & tomatoes', being able to move from one side of the city to the other. It also includes domestic composting to dispose of organic waste, produced at the moment, in fertiliser for plants, placed in one side of the cart made of ceramic containers.
